Come face to face with endangered devils, meet little endemic quolls and pademelons, hand feed friendly kangaroos and join some crazy parrots in Tasmanian’s only free-flight bird show. The all weather nature trail will take you through a delightful native botanic garden filled with wild honeyeaters and wrens, past majestic eucalypts and streamside ferneries. Join us for kangaroo feeding, our bird show and quoll feedings at various times a day. Open from 9am every day (except 25 December) at Taranna, just an hour from Hobart on the main highway to Port Arthur. Your visit will help efforts to save our unique and very precious little devils. You’ll hear about the vital effort to help save Tasmanian devils at the very special presentations and feedings at various times a day.

Join the effort to save endangered Tasmanian devils on an exclusive half-day DevilTracker Adventure. A unique behind the scenes experience and becomepart of a vital research effort to save the last isolated, natural population of disease[1]free wild Tasmanian devils on theplanet. The Devil Tracker Adventure is a guidedfour-wheel drive tour in native forest near the Unzoo to see first-hand how thehealthy Tasmanian devils of the isolated Tasman Peninsula are being tracked and monitored with special hi-tech infrared night cameras. Your guide will lead you to a hidden camera site in the forest then to the Devil Tracker Station to identify and monitor vital devil activity and health data by downloading the latest images from cameras and keeping a nightly record of devil activity. It’s a great way to learn about the and Tasmanian Devil Unzoo’s role in the fight to preserve and protect the endangered Tasmanian devil species. You’ll also discover the intimate habitat relationship between natural bush and farmland, how to identify wildlife highways and discover traces of nocturnal wildlife activity. The Devil Tracker Adventure caters for up to eight guests and includes a visit to the Unzoo and morning or afternoon coffee / tea. Allow three hours
