Tully Classic ex Cairns

The Tully River is Australia's best white water rafting river with non stop action from the put in to the take out! Tour starts with an early morning pick up from a central location in Cairns, kick back and enjoy the scenery on the 90-minute journey passing the sugar cane farms and rainforest creeks. On arrival to Tully base at the Feluga Hotel, all guests will get a chance to grab a light breakfast (own expense) before the 40 minutes travel to the top of the Tully Gorge. Meet the River Guide and fellow paddlers and get fitted with a helmet and life jacket before making way down to the water. All guests will receive a comprehensive safety briefing and paddling instructions and warm up on a couple of small rapids prior to hitting the white water! Raft the top section of the river with awesome grade 3 and 4 rapids that are sure to get the adrenalin pumping and heart racing! Half way down the river arriving at the riverside lunch spot, recharge the batteries with a tasty BBQ burger lunch overlooking picturesque Ponytail Falls. Back on the water, continue rafting the lower section of the Gorge with more excitement and thrills mixed in with some downtime to soak up the spectacular scenery. Arriving at the take out point, change into dry clothes before heading to the Feluga Hotel for a comfort stop and chance to grab a beverage/snack (own expense) before returning to the pick up point, arriving approximately 6pm.
