The Pamagirri Rainforest Walkabout is an engrossing, educational experience that explores this ancient culture amongst the backdrop of the tropical rainforest. Rainforest Walkabout (Max 12 pax) Join your Pamagirri Aboriginal Guide as he shares a personal insight into his traditional culture, and its connection with the oldest surviving rainforest in the world. This in-depth and interactive experience will teach you about some local traditions such as totems and body painting, before embarking on a guided walk to learn about survival in the rainforest - the plants, fruits and berries used as bush tucker and remedies, as well as traditional shelters, artefacts and implements. Through the story of his own 'mob', your guide will take you on an enlightening journey through Australia’s diverse indigenous culture and lifestyle, from earliest history to the present day. Please note that the walk is along an uneven path on undulating ground. Moderate fitness required.
