The professional tour guides will meet you in Mareeba and deliver you to the launch site pre-dawn for you to witness the impressive scene of balloons being inflated - once inflated they stand taller than a ten storey building.
When the balloon is ready, step into the basket with your experienced pilot; feel the peace and serenity of floating above the rainforest covered hills and mountains, set against the stunning backdrop of the rising sun. There is nothing in the world like the feeling of floating gently above the earth.
Breathe in the fresh air, enjoy sweeping views of the Atherton Tablelands on one side then look towards the coast and Great Barrier Reef - it's the best of both worlds!
The very experienced pilots will slowly guide the balloon down to the landing point, where the fun continues, you all pitch in and fold up the balloon itself, have a laugh and take some more photos.
Finally you all gather together with the pilot and ground crew for a light breakfast snack, chat and to toast the sensational flight experience with a glass of sparkling wine.

- This a self-drive to Mareeba option.
- Children under 3 years old cannot participate.
- Children 3-12 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
- Children aged 13-17 years old must be accompanied by a responsible adult for the duration of the tour.
- You must be able to climb up the 1.2 meter foothold ladder into the hot air balloon basket without assistance.
- You must be able to stand for the duration of the flight.
- Pregnant women and those participating in diving the previous day are not suited to this activity.
- Passengers with medical conditions or that have accessibility issues, please check with your doctor or specialist prior to booking.
- No passenger will be allowed to fly is their judgement is impaired by alcohol, drugs or prescriptions medicine.
- Due to weight and safety restrictions, handbags and backpack may not be carried on the hot air balloon. Please do not bring large bag.
- Unless the camera fails, digital photos will be provided every flight. If the camera fails, no compensation or refund will be given.
- Please note that timings might be adjusted due to seasonal changes, and the specific schedule is subject to the reservation confirmation you received.
- All bookings are weather dependent, and in the case of bad weather you booking will be rescheduled.
