Madura

Madura is located five and a half hours' drive east of Norseman, on the southern coast of Western Australia.

Madura was settled in 1876 as a place to breed horses for the Indian Army. Today it is a welcome stop when traversing the Nullarbor. A number of private sheep stations are also in the area.

The Hampton Tablelands form a backdrop to Madura; visit the Madura Pass lookout for panoramic views of the coastal plains. Blowholes can also be seen at the Pass.






Madura: Where To Go / Sightseeing

Ask at the roadhouse for directions to the Mullamullang Caves which lie to the northwest of the settlement and which are reputedly larger than the caves at Cocklebiddy.
