Red Rock

If you're a lover of natural beauty, Red Rock will be just up your alley. A tranquil fishing resort on the NSW north coast, Red Rock is about 13km north of Woolgoolga, with Grafton about 85km to the north-west.

This quiet little coastal town nestles in the beautiful, unspoiled surroundings of the southern end of Yurangir National Park at the mouth of the Redbank River.

You can reach the park by wading across the river at low tide or by driving about 5km north and taking the Station Creek turnoff along the Barcoongere Forest Way.

Red Rock is in a pristine setting for fishing enthusiasts and beach lovers, and the perfect starting point for exploration of the wild and wonderful park. Yurangir embraces the longest stretch of undeveloped coastline of any park in Australia - a strip that boasts many beaches, lagoons, heathlands and swamps.

The creeks and rivers within the park are ideal for canoeing and there are plenty of fine bushwalking trails, including the outstanding, 10km-long Angourie Coastal Walk.
