Rawdon Island

Rawdon Island is named after Francis Rawdon Hastings, first Marquis of Hastings. Rawdon Island, located 15 minutes west of Port Macquarie, is actually made up of two islands - Little Rawdon Island and the main island. Now a rich and picturesque farming area, Rawdon Island was once a thriving community comprising 27 dairy farms, 2 churches, a school, and community store and football team. The Old School is now a Heritage Function House and is a beautiful location for weddings, parties and meetings. The Greater Port Macquarie Visitor Information Centres can help you make the most of your time in the region.
