Pimpama
Located on the very northern fringe of the Gold Coast, Pimpama is the last truly rural area left on the Gold Coast. A drive around Pimpama will take you past green fields of sugarcane and quaint rustic farm houses. A short drive east will find you at the sleepy seaside village of Jacobs Well, where you can hire a boat and enjoy the excellent fishing conditions.
You can’t visit Pimpama without stopping in at the strawberry farm. Visitors can pick their very own red juicy strawberries and the kids can feed the animals in the farmyard. Stay for a meal or treat yourself to a lip-smacking strawberry ice cream! Pimpama is also home to Queensland’s only Zorb. Step inside this huge clear plastic inflatable ball and let yourself tumble and fall as the huge ball rolls down a long grassy slope.
Pimpama is approximately 45 minutes’ drive from both the Brisbane and Coolangatta airports. Motel and unit style accommodation can be found at nearby Coomera.

Feel the need for speed? Just up the road you’ll find a go kart racing complex where the whole family can strap on a helmet and tear up the bitumen on a safe, purpose-built track.
Nearby is a picturesque golf course set amongst tall gum trees. The 18 hole course has hosted the Queensland PGA and encompasses a fauna and flora sanctuary, home to dozens of Eastern Grey Kangaroos. The course is suitable for all ages and abilities and visitors are welcome.
