Adelaide Hills

From Adelaide, it’s an easy half hour drive to the wineries and picturesque villages of the Adelaide Hills. Enjoy a scenic drive, go bushwalking or play a round of golf. One visit to the Adelaide Hills and you’ll know why it has inspired so many artists – the icturesque farmlands and charming villages look like they were meant to be painted. Visit The Cedars, formerly the home of the famous Australian artist, Sir Hans Heysen. Lose yourself among the craft shops and cafés or take a drive into the countryside and sample freshly picked fruit and vegetables from a roadside stall and delicious wine at one of the local wineries.

No visit to the Adelaide Hills is complete without exploring the famous town of Hahndorf, Australia’s oldest surviving German settlement. There’s still a strong German flavour in Hahndorf, most evident in the German bakeries that line the bustling main street. Near Hahndorf, you can pick your own strawberries at Beerenberg, and visit several good winery cellar doors in the area.

The Adelaide Hills provide the perfect place for a relaxing and refreshing holiday.
