Eneabba

Two and a half hours drive north of Perth is Eneabba, within one of Western Australia's most magnificent wildflower regions. There are nine national heritage reserves in the area around the town including Beekeeper Reserve, Mount Lesueur Reserve and Tathra National Park. Spend some time viewing the coastal bays and beaches located off the Indian Ocean Drive 20 kilometres west of Eneabba. There are three access points to the Carnamah Shire Coast; Coolimba, Gum Tree Bay and Illawong. Coolimba access is located opposite the Coolimba-Eneabba Road junction with the Indian Ocean Drive. Gum Tree Bay is approximately 12 kilometres north along the Indian Ocean Drive from the Coolimba access road, and Illawong a further 10 kilometres north. Lake Indoon, a freshwater lake, located 12 kilometres west of Eneabba is a beautiful A class reserve. There are camping facilities located at Lake Indoon. Eneabba is also known as the 'Mineral Sands Capital' of the west. Eighty percent of the world's rutile (titanium dioxide) supply is found near the town.
