Scarborough

Scarborough is set on the northernmost point on the Redcliffe Peninsula. It is a magnificent setting on an isthmus that divides Moreton Bay from Deception Bay.

The Endeavour Park Bikeway, which begins at the canal estate that defines Scarborough's northern border, skirts the entire length of the Deception Bay shoreline. Large breakwaters protect the boat harbour and jetty on the north-eastern tip of the reefed point.

The view from the top of the peninsula"s signature red cliffs offer breathtaking views across Moreton Bay to Moreton and Stradbroke Islands. A vehicular ferry service to Moreton Island departs from Scarborough Harbour.

The beaches on the eastern shoreline of the point, Scarborough and Queens, are safe for bathing, while the Redcliffe jetty - at the southern end of Queens South Beach - is a favoured perch for local anglers.
