    What to bring
    Most Queenslanders dress informally, although reasonable dress standards are maintained in restaurants, hotels and bars. Lightweight clothing is suitable all year round; however bring something
    warm to slip on as the temperature drops at nightduring winter. To ensure adequate protection from the sun we suggest you bring a broad-brimmed hat,
    SPF 30+ sunscreen, sunglasses and a long sleeved shirt with a collar.

    Beach Safety
    Queensland has some of the world’s best beaches, however care and caution should be exercised at all times. Please remember to swim between the red
    and yellow flags and listen to instructions from lifesavers and lifeguards.

    Marine Stingers
    Marine Stingers are present in coastal waters from October to June, so please heed warning signs and instructions. Many beaches have netted enclosures
    for safe swimming. The good news is that stingers do not inhabit the Outer Reef, so make sure you take the opportunity to experience one of the
    world’s great wonders!
