Wollstonecraft

Wollstonecraft, a pleasant, established suburb on Sydney"s lower North Shore about 5km or so from the city's CBD, sweeps from the Pacific Highway down to the middle reaches of Sydney Harbour.

It is a suburb distinguished by fine homes and, increasingly, apartments that proliferate among the hills. Many have million dollar views across the harbour to the suburbs of Birchgrove, Balmain, Woolwich, Hunters Hill and beyond.

Wollstonecraft is among Sydney's wealthier suburbs, set off by an attractive, harbourside park where visitors can relax under the trees on those lazy days of a Sydney summer.

The nearby suburbs of Crows Nest, and especially North Sydney, just minutes away back toward the Sydney Harbour Bridge, are upmarket commercial centres literally bulging with great eating places to service the many businesses in trendy industries like publishing and advertising which gravitated to the area.

The always-busy Pacific Highway skirts Wollstonecraft and is the main artery for people heading north out of Sydney. It"s only minutes by car or train (a bit longer by ferry) across Sydney Harbour to Sydney's central business district, the Sydney Opera House, the limitless shopping and entertainment opportunities, and all the other delights of one of the world's great cities.
