Keysborough

Keysborough is a relatively young Melbourne suburb just to the north of Dandenong, with a distinct multicultural character. About 42 per cent of Keysborough's 17,500 residents speak a language other than English and the population includes substantial numbers of Vietnamese, Greeks, Khmers, Italian, Spanish and Mandarin-speaking Chinese.

Keysborough is also home to the Melbourne Storm, Victoria's only National Rugby League team and the only side in the modern era to win the premiership in its first season in the NRL. The Storm are based at the Aces Sports Club.

The township was named after the Keys family whose ancestors first moved into the area in the mid-1880s and whose current generation continues to live in the original family seat, Glen Alvie House.

Keysborough is home to the Springers Leisure Centre which extends over 50ha of parkland. The community recreational and cultural facilities available in the Springers complex embrace basketball, netball, volleyball, tai chi, yoga, karate, Badminton, line dancing, roller sports and drama.
