Unley Park

Unley Park is an inner-southern Adelaide suburb in the municipality of Unley. The municipality promotes itself as the city of villages, and each of the suburbs has its own distinctive character.

Unley Road and King William Road are shopping hubs, offering an eclectic mix of fashion, homewares, food shopping, restaurants and cafes.

While Unley Park is within walking distance of the Adelaide CBD, it is also well positioned for forays into some of the Festival City"s most accessible and diverse, metropolitan parkland, including such gems as Cleland Conservation and Wildlife Park, Belair National Park and the Sturt Gorge Recreation Park.

Belair, a scenic drive to the east, is regarded as the most popular park in the state and presents the opportunity to meet some of the native bird and animal life in their natural habitat.

Strike due west and you come to the beachside village of Seacliff which is regarded as the northern gateway to the superb beaches of the City of Onkaparinga - Christies, Moana and, if you fancy getting it all off, Maslims which was Australia's first official nudist beach.

Lying in the Onkaparina hinterland is historic Old Reynella, modern headquarters of Hardy's Wines and the spot where John Reynell launched the South Australian wine industry by planting vine cuttings he had brought with him from the Cape of Good Hope. Planted in 1838, the grapes produced their first wine in 1842, supporting claims that Reynell was Australia"s first winemaker.
